Royal May Day in Knutsford is an annual event which dates back to 1864. Now in its 149th year Jenny Warburton has been chosen as Knutsford's Royal May Queen.
This years Ladies in Waiting are Amy Siwek and Lucy glasby-Seddon, along with the Court Ladies, Shanya Horth, Emillia Russell, Jasmine Dines and Celine Barclay.
Dylan McCourt was handed the title of Crown Bearer. Lucy Howarth, Charlotte Barker, Libby Young, Eva Marie Jones and Katie Chaplin were selected as Maids of Honour.

One does not have to be a close observer in Knutsford to notice signs of Cranford days: Gaskell and Cranford Avenues, Elizabeth Gaskell Court, the Gaskell Memorial Tower; though Cranford and Matty pharmacies and the Cranford Cake shop have gone.
